[Elena does not like Hell ninety-nine point nine percent of the time. It's not a place you like. But she receives the basket of presents from Lucifer and her eyes widen when she finds it's actually good? Full of things she'll actually use?

A map to somewhere that's free to explore?

Damn, she does like that, just a little.

She climbs back into bed, nudging her husband in the shoulder briefly until he wakes up.]

Hey. Wanna go rock climbing?

I -- wait -- what?

[you'll have to forgive your husband his reaction, Elena -- he was still mostly asleep, when she started with the nudging. give him a few seconds, and maybe his brain will catch up with the rest of him]

I got a present from ... Lucifer, I guess.

[She passes him the map and the note.]

That plus the gear and an encouragement to do it sooner rather than later because once we go back to Penance it'll be harder to get back here.

[Nathan sits up, frowning as he considers the note and the map. he looks between Elena, the papers and back again several times, expression deepening as he comes more into himself]

This wasn't on my map.

[he tried to map out Mammon's island last time they were here and thought he'd done a pretty good job. it makes him more than a little uncomfortable to learn that apparently he didn't]

Maybe he renovated?

[She hasn't been in Penance long, but she's been around long enough to see how things could just change on a dime. It doesn't mean that Nate's map was incorrect necessarily, but that Mammon decided to change things up while they were gone.]

Or maybe he obscured it?

[she has a point, in either case. he's not sure he likes it, but it's still a point]

Guess it can't hurt to check out?

[even if it still feels like a trap, he won't say no to some good, old fashioned exploring]

[She nods because that's what she figured, and she's grateful for something that actually might be fun, rather than potentially awful.]

We just have to be careful of the dragons.

Like dragons are the craziest thing we've ever had to sneak around.

So, uh. When're we doing this?

[should he be getting dressed? he feels like he should be getting dressed]

[She shrugs.]

Whenever you're ready? Lucifer seemed to imply that if we didn't do it before we leave, we might not be able to get back easily.

I didn't really realize there was a time limit.

[though he supposes he should have, all things considered. it's not like they can stay here forever, after all]

But uh -- sooner rather than later, in that case?

There isn't. It was more of a friendly head's up.

[But honestly, she wouldn't mind getting away from the castle for a bit, and explore.]

We shouldn't go unprepared though. Assess what we need in terms of supplies and maybe go tomorrow?
